Discover Banwell Primary School - A place to belong, believe and achieve.
Choosing a primary school is one of the most important decisions a family makes. At Banwell Primary School, we believe children flourish when they feel they truly belong. Our school is built on strong relationships, high expectations and a genuine commitment to helping every child grow in confidence, character and achievement.
For more than 100 years, we have been proud to serve the Banwell community. Today, alongside exciting improvements to our learning environments and outdoor spaces, we continue to provide children with exceptional opportunities that help them thrive academically, socially and emotionally.
What makes Banwell different?
Our children benefit from:
- outdoor learning through Forest School and our extensive grounds
- a wide range of enrichment opportunities beyond the classroom
- inclusive provision that supports a variety of needs
- specialist sensory spaces and newly redeveloped sensory gardens
- strong wellbeing support, including our therapy dog
- deep connections with local community organisations and village partnerships
A school where children thrive
78% of our pupils participate in enrichment programmes, helping them discover new interests, develop confidence and build lifelong skills. Whether performing on stage, exploring nature, participating in sport or developing leadership skills, every child has opportunities to shine.
At the heart of the community
We are proud of our close relationships with organisations including Banwell Buddies Preschool, Banwell Gardening Club, the Parish Council and local churches. Being part of Banwell means being part of something bigger than a school. It means being part of a community.
