Early Years Foundation Stage – Expressive Arts and Design 

The educational programme for expressive arts and design, set out in the EYFS Framework, is delivered in our reception classes in line with the Extend Reception Curriculum.

Reception Curriculum

Key Stage 1 and 2 – Design and technology 

We follow the national curriculum. 

In Year 1, we teach design and technology in line with our multi-academy trust’s ‘Extend Early Curriculum’. 

We follow the PlanBee scheme of work to teach design and technology in Year 2-6. 

We alternate teaching design and technology with teaching art and design on a half termly basis.

Design Technology is taught for three terms per year, alternating with Art and Design for Years 2-6.
